Hi B/M. Can you tell me what fern that is in the 1:10 posting, just above the banana plant ?(the one growing in gravel) Also, how big does it get ? Cheers...freddy.

I always think of you and your pics whenever I see an exotic/tropical plant in the gc. Am going to attempt to lift my small gravelled areas theis weekend to lay proper anti-weed membrane stuff (instead of the rubbishy plastic compost bags that are u showing through at the moment). Think I might go on the lookout for another couple of ferns to treat myself with once it's done. LOVE unfurling ferns!

The white flower is a Skunk Cabbage and the other photo is a cowslip

I think its just a common Asplenium scolopendrium.

 

Banana man do skunk cabbage spread?I'm thinking of planting it the other side of the stream.All the best mate...daz
