All the little tree ferns in this picture from earlier this year are out in the cold.

I'd like to say it's girth that counts, but I have that covered too. ;)

Yours are bigger than the ones in blue pots aren't they ?

BM, is the Roebelenii still outside?

I know a lot of folk like the cold weather as it is (now) so unseasonal but us exotic lovers dread this kind of weather, in a way it maybe good to test just how hardy they are but not at the risk of losing old established friends.

John thanks for that by all means keep me informed how things go with your plant although at £8 one can take chances on but over £60 now that's another matter in Bob's book....I wouldn't say he's tight but I'm sure he's a magician when it comes to getting his wallet out 'now you see, it now you don't' :D

Sorry Sandra love to keep you waiting [IMG]

John no Bob's not from Yorkshire he's a 'Green man' from over the border in Nottinghamshire although he doesn't rob from the rich to give to poor he keeps it for himself!

I'm a 'Yellow belly' from Lincolnshire and I lived in the same village as Sir Christopher Wray who was the judge that passed sentence on Mary Queen of Scots.

What of children born to this pair you may well ask? my crazy hybrid boys are Yorkshire through and through just like their grandad and more than crazy I can tell you! :D Helen.xxx.
