Yes, Kathy3, I've enjoyed seeing what my Babe has done over the last few days, he's worked like a slave, so it's been a pleasure!

Hope you've had a good one as well, my lovely! [IMG]

I'm totally amazed at your garden, BM, and love the change to gravel.

It's been a lot of hard work, but looks like you think it's worth while too!

    :D :D :D

Very hard work ! 8 tonnes creates a big mountain to level. I think it looks more grown up ? more clean/modern than the token bit of lawn I had.

I think if I'd been designing a jungly garden, I'd have put in grass too, as I'd have wanted green on the ground - but it's not really practical to get a lawn mower through to it, I wouldn't have thought. Gravel is more practical, and it looks good.

Maybe an alternative that would involve having green on the ground would be to use a camimile lawn? I don't mean you should change, though! :D Just thinking things through in case anyone asks me to do a design like that! ;)

Amazing, and it even looks good in the rain! All very well done BM, you can be proud of yourself.

What is that pretty light green plant with the jaggy edges under the Acer? Is it an "easy" plant and does it have to come in during the winter?

I found a wee notice yesterday about a hardy banana, that comes from the mountainous region of China, and feels at home here in Germany, so would do so in England too. The leaves freeze in the winter but grow back in the spring. Have you heard about it - or already have it!

That rings a bell KG, I think it is called Musa Yunnan but I don't have one.

The pretty light green plant with the jaggy edges under the Acer is infact another acer. It is lovely I can never remember the spelling, I will have to find it in my book :D

Dendy I was going to go with green glass, but it was seriously too expensive !

Love the gravel BM [IMG] Something reflective would have looked good too....but I suppose stainless steel would be hazardous to walk on!!!
You'll just have the baby BMs playing with the gravel now!!!! :D
