Looks as lush as ever BM.
Just shows what a great job you did in the outset, that you can now leave it to get on with it, without too much intervention:thumb:

    Thanks everyone.:)

I will post up the front garden just as soon as I move my car off it. We have the gas pipes being replaced at the moment in the village and I have hidden my baby away from debris.:D

I had to cut a car shaped hole in the foliage:rolleyes::D

Overnight the wind has ruined my sculpted beantree from the standard shape I had been nuturing to form a roof over my end room in the garden.

As you can see the damage is a ripping as well as a snapping so I am forced to cut deep into the branch span to remove all of the damaged branch.

This is what I was left with:( pretty rubbish with the whole rear side gone.

So I took the decision to do something I had thought about some time ago which is to completely renovated the shape.

First remove the large branch network....

Stand back and check the shape and mutter under your breathe "I can't believe I just did that:eek::("

Then go in for a final cut to balance the shape...

I am proper gutted that this is the first year I have had a complete roof for the end room only for it to fail in its first summer. It has taken 7-8 years to get to this point !

But I am pleased with the shape and know that I have done the right thing in turning a negative into an opportunity to improve the shape and enjoy it's progress once more:)

    Don't ya just love gardening:thumb:

Bit of a shame BM, but what an excellent job of pruning and taking the time to provide us with the photos at each stage. When I see your last photo I still think "wow that's a fantastic garden".
