Cheers John, had to be done really and there are upsides.
The plants around will appreciate the light, although I fear some of the ferns will not.

Just need to cut it all up and tidy the lanky growth from the surrounding plants that mingled with the tree and squeeze it all in the brown bin:o:D

Can sympathise with you b/m I had seed pods that I had hand pollinated on one of my brugs they were developing nicely wind ripped the branch off with the pods not full term I have planted some of the unripe seed in the hope something comes of them otherwise it's another 12 month set back, hopefully your pruning of the beantree will strengthen it when it regrows.

 What a disaster, but you did the right thing the brave thing, cutting back hard to get the shape nice and round again. And I thought, looking at your lovely bananas, surely he can't have a windswept place, must be all niceand sheltered! :(
What a wonderful garden, makes me stare every time!

Thanks Ivory:) I looked at the winds behaviour today and it was hitting the boundary and diving down on the bean tree area so I think I was just unlucky with the direction and severity of the gust. Came down with a thump and ripped the fragile bean tree branches as it came. Everything else is fine:rolleyes:

:thumb:Little Miss Road Rage cool name:cool::D

No shows, well not in the serious sense anyway, a few fun ones. I do polish my car so I can see my face in it apparently:D

My little video collection I did for another forum testing products and indulging my car cleaning fetish:o

Bananaman was gutted reading about your disaster, but as has been said, garden still looks absolutely amazing and you made the best of a bad situation.

Hi BM sorry to hear about your snapped branch problem. It seems like we are going to have this breeze problem every year now:( Our village stands on top of a hill and the wind is always blowing a gale up here,no wonder they want to install a wind farm:eek: I do hope that everything survives for you:thumb:

PS do you think you could have a quiet word with Shiney about washing his new car and polishing it as I have suggested on the morning thread because he doesn't seem to think there is any need to keep a new car in good condition:rolleyes::D
