    What about globe artichokes or cardoon.
    Sweetcorn always looks good I think.

    We've got Globes and Sweetcorn. Have thought about Cardoon - but not done anything about it!

    Really looking for greenhouse things - but preferably not needing too much effort / heat to overwinter.

    Ever thought you would like to grow tropical plants but thought them to expensive, just nip down to the veg counter at your favourite supermarket and collect the seeds out of some of the exotic fruits/veg and give it a go, such as Eddoes, Karela, Dudhi, Chayote, Mooli, Tindori, Dragon fruit, Root ginger and lots more, most are types of gourd and are easy to grow at little cost, I recommend the eddoes these are sold as Colocasias and are quite expensive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Elephant_ear_plant.

    Ahh thought you wanted outdoor edibles that looked exotic.:dh::)

    For greenhouse plants the sky is almost the limit for summer growth, but I doubt many untried plants are likely to bear much fruit without heat.
    Unless of course you have a massive greenhouse.:D

    The conservatory is quite tall ... but not heated

    The greenhouse is quite long ... but neither heated nor tall!
