Banana Skins

    Someone should tell the Supermarkets, especially Morrisons (someone told them they are greengrocers, so they sell green bananas).

    I used to work with a chap who did a greengrocery round in his spare time. He said they always kept the "sad" bananas for themselves. "Sad bananas" are when the skins start to turn black, that is the best time to eat then.

    When Fyffes shipped bananas in slow steam ships it took several weeks from plantation to shop and they were ripe.
