    Acacia Drive, is it?..... Seems fitting for all those exotics! Do you have any, BM? Can't recall seeing any, but I'm rather overwhelmed by all these photosof lush leafy bananas, and the like, that my memory is a bit dodgy...... Or maybe it's just old age! :D

    The plant on the right of the last pic BM.Is it one of those japanese maples?.Im no good at plant names.Whatever...i just love it.Is it always that colour?Ive admired them from afar in nuseries etc, (they are so expensive).

    My pleasure dixy, any excuse !

    elainefiz, was this the photo ? the red leafed tree is a prunus nigra (pink blossom cherry)I descibe it as an 8/4 as it is either in flower or leaf 8 months of the year and only rests for 4 months. Recently it has proved to be more of a 9/3 and is a great for almost constant interest. Its one of the first to arrive and always the last to leave.

    Hi Bananaman! I think I must have just chopped down one of those 'prunus nigra'(pink blossom cherry) from my front garden - but we have another in the back - really beautiful trees.
    (see Trees - removing roots/stumps?) I too, like elainefiz, know very few 'real' plant names! [​IMG]
