:D I know :D I only posted the picture to re-order all the pictures as it doesn't seem to catch up unless it feeds off a posting younger than the changes made.

yes, I found that when I had to change my identity some months ago - and it's erratic too - not everything you expect to change actually does it!! But I agree with LofL - I envy you that tree, BM! Looks absolutely gorgeous....

Thats Lovely roders. When I tried shooting it I found the flowers quite difficult to capture because they are so fine. You really have to get in there with the fine focus. I found with my budget 'point and shoot' you really don't get how beautiful they are from shooting the whole tree. Thanks for adding it to my thread it looks brill!

What an amazing tree, and both lovely pictures. I read somewhere that this tree is very popular in the lake district, if so iy must be quite hardy.

Hi HoneyBee, yes averaging out I would say it was a 5 month on 7 month sleeping tree, perhaps bordering on the 6/6 in a good year.

It was middle May before it opened with any conviction and I expect it to have lost its foliage by end of september, particularly as it has flowered and will probably be glad of the rest.

Currently my experiences are of it as a 'large pot' grown specimen. Next year I plan to plant it if I can find space. However,I wouldn't have expected much more from it given it has no winter protection and grows outside all year round taking all that nature throws at it.

Keep your eye on this thread as I will be updating and improving the information currently posted as promised [IMG]
