I would get a French car - either Citroen or Peugeot (they are the same parent company I believe and many of the parts are interchangeable). I run a Peugeot 307 diesel and have one of them electronic gizmos that reads the error codes, codes radios etc. My car has both Citroen and Renault parts on it and there are billions in scrap yards.

French cars do look the most stylish in my opinion.

I'd love a Triumph Herald convertible - but its just not practical for the daily motorway commute.:noidea:

I was reared in a family of men, two of which, my late father and younger brother, both mechanical engineers, work/worked with anything from cars and vans to cranes and locomotives. Although I can diagnose problems ( did that last week with my elder daughters car which turned out to be very expensive for her) I'm no mechanic. My younger daughter is a real 'petrol-head' and holds her own in any conversation with men on the subject of cars. She is currently working as a driving instructor for Mercedes-Benz. All my family are bikers too.

The three Corvettes in question are owned by my son's friend and they are called Ghenghis, Eamon and Samson. :)

We had a buyer lined up so it wasn't even advertised. If only it were that simple all the time.

Eamon or Eamonn is an Irish name meaning protector so I presume these three names are associated with 'tough' guys. :)

I can't imagine an American calling a car Kevin NG, it just doesn't seem quite right. :heehee:

              What about a 505 Pick-up

EDIT - or how about a Maestro van with what I suspect is the Perkins diesel lump in it (fairly bomb-proof really, as long as tin worm doesn't get them)

Triumph TR4A IRS. Easy to work on, no fancy electronics. Race bred.
Just wish I'd held onto it :wallbanging:
