Kind of catfish and no bones. We like it. Just wish they would sell it straight instead of messing about with it and adding ingredients we do not like. The yellow Basa is a smoked version of it. Not something we like to be honest.

Finny Haddock , smoked haddock is gorgeous . Don't know if you have ever tried Cullen Skink , a Scottish potato and smoked haddock soup - lovely. We also buy smoked cod , not sure of the price difference to haddock.

I often buy smoked cod or haddock, tend to steer clear of the basa as I heard a lot of stories when it first went on sale and it kind oif put me off.
I find cod and haddock to be fairly close regarding price.

I usually go for the fillets rather than the skinless loin which is much more expensive.
I even prefer the fillets to the loin when it comes to flavour also.
