Yes I agree, I think they maybe a bigger plant but the flower, being white, cant have the same wow factor, although its still a very strange one.
The one in your picture Marley looks almost like some alien being.

Dunno if it helps but they were advertising these plants on the QVC channel. If you go to their site it might tell you something. They were talking about them being grown outdoors but I don't think that's an option:)

:D Pete, I think the reason the flower looks like an alien, is because we had just had the most amazing thunderstorm & the water was still glistening on it..!!!!:D

By the way I see they are selling the plants here, has anybody bought from these people.? Seems like they could be part of Spalding bulbs... Was wondering if they might be better quality..
http://www.vanmeuwen.com/catalogue/b they have black & white...;)

    Thanks Cajary and Marley.

This is getting expensive, £9 per plant +£5 P&P.
It also says that delivery time will be quoted after payment and as to wether the plant is out of stock.
I never have trusted the Dutch growers, their plant catalogues are far too false in picture and text.

I would guess that the rumour that these can be grown outside, started in Holland, Cajary.

The T&M tubers were sent direct from Holland and it was snowing here at the time, god knows what conditions they endured in their trip to England

:( Hmm thought that might be the case Pete. I haven't used them just came across them..:(

;) Tell you what, after seeing Diane's in Jamaica, I don't think I would put them out here at all. They loved the high humidity, dappled sunlight & regular drenchings of rain they got there. I would definitely keep then in a green house or conservatory keeping them out of the direct sunlight & try & give them the humidity they obviously love... :)
