Bathing Dogs

    Witch Hazel..well i use it on myself a lot their is allways a bottle in the fridge..excellent for bruises..sore eyes etc..I havnt used it on the dog as he is never ill fortunately..
    Their is an excellent book worth buying called natural healthcare for pets ...by richard allport..and it gives you lots of different options for several diseases skin conditions included..and nutritional advice..you can probably get it from amazon..

    as an afterthought as i am busy so just saw this briefly...I would use witch hazel for cuts and stings on the dog without hesitation..but if you are looking at a dog or cat with skin allergys well you need to look at their diet...and also you will find that aloe vera is better than witch hazel in that situation as its cooling and excellent for skin disorders..must dash...

    Many thanks, Wildflower. I do have a large Aloe Vera. I always diluted the Witch Hazel. The two cats with the allergies are unfortunately no longer with us. They were pure white and had all sorts of ailments all their lives, bless their little souls! :(
