Not in this spot, unfortunately. There's no room for a hedge there - but I've got about 500ft of hedge already.

Mines next to a dry stone wall, I'd have to get small stakes hammered in to be able to tie it. I'll cut it back later, unless that'll harm it with the frosts starting?

Hope your buddleia makes it Honeybunny.
As a precaution, you could cut a few lengths of woody growth, say about 8-10 inches long and simply shove them in the ground somewhere they can be left undisturbed for 12 months. Buddleia takes root very easily, so there's a good chance several of them would provide you with new young plants as back up. :dbgrtmb:

I'm not overly worried Jenny - if it does decide to go over, it will land in the road before it comes anywhere near us. I have a colleague who's son works for the relevant department in Openreach, so I'll get it passed on to him to get checked.

Here we go again! A gale blowing at the moment increasing to severe this evening with gusts to 65mph. I'm not bothered, if it gets above 70mph that's a different kettle of fish. The sun is shining so that's a bonus! :)

We are getting some pretty wild weather here too but I'm not going to moan, not after seeing what the Philippines have just been through.

It's okay everyone, the wind wasn't as bad as stated and the ship sailed late yesterday. I'm glad I wasn't on it though, it was mighty breezy! :)

Extremely windy here with some shocking gusts, otherwise mild and dry.
Flood warnings for the whole of the Wash with tidal surges 1700-1900 tonight. Not looking forward to that :frown:

                      Hope everyone is staying safe.

Pleased that I was sat behind a desk all day and not behind the wheel of a car. On the way home tried to see how high the river Welland was but it was too dark. Got my wellies near the door - I might need them in the night!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree with GG hope everyone is OK and safe.
