        I think it is perfectly acceptable for people to make trivial language errors, just as long as their message is clear.

        I don't even expect the BBC to get it exactly right. I wouldn't know whether they had or not because my language skills are not exactly A grade. But when I find my brain is in overdrive trying out lots of different variations of what I've just heard or read to see if any of them make any sense at all, something is clearly not right.
