I agree with Roy. We have a Sky dish that gives us 300+ channels and almost all are utter crap. Endless repeats, endless make-overs and reality shows etc etc. The same documentaries and films are endlesly circulated around all the channels so the real choice is an illusion. They all show the same progrmmes eventually. There is just not enough talent around to stretch to 300 channels. If it wasn't for Mrs H's addiction to all the rubbish, I'd turn the satellite dish into a planter and settle for BBC1 abd BBC2. I cannot stand the brain numbing, plot interrupting adverts on all other channels.

I'm with you on that one Hornbeam. I don't watch very much TV, although some of the documentaries on Sky can be good - but like you say, repeated constantly. Only have the damn dish for the kids - like valium for children [IMG] [IMG]

I too have sky with so many channels I don't know what to do with them. I only watch 'Lost' and even that has finished now... however I can now watch the reruns on another channel!!! I also occasionally watch reruns of gardeners world.

Needless to say, I missed the oak programme however from what everyone is saying that was not such a hardship and lets face it, it will be a rerun in 2-3 months time.

Lovely thought Hornbeam - it will be the new trend to come - satellite dishes made into planters! ;)

Oh, I remember Dendrobe - "Doctor Who and the Daktari's"!
    Oh, maybe not.
Seems that this Daktari programme must have been well, well, well before my time.
They probably don't show any reruns because the film reals are so old they have fallen apart.
    Enjoy the ironing!

Yeah.......trying to forget about her, and those cleverly disguised trucks they always drove around in. Sure had all the wild animals confused.

And all filmed in a Hollywood back lot. The added "african scenes" were a laugh though. Sorry I made that up, I've never seen it, I am too young! :D :D
BTW did anyone ever notice during all those african "jungle" films etc the background sounds you could always hear a Kookaburra?!!! :D

Hijacked R's thread again. Back to topic, I saw part of the trees prog but as it was about the oak again I lost interest. Hope there's something better next week.
