    I have the same problem with the squeak :) but I find that they're pretty good when very lightly blanched, run under cold water, left to drain/dry and then stir fried.

    I do them a number of ways. Just normally stir fried with other veg; stir fried on their own with crushed garlic, a little crushed dried chillies and a light touch of soy sauce and the other way I do them is to stir fry them and put them in a Thai chicken and veg curry with coconut milk.

      Bridgwater are lovely, sort of buttery, French ones are Blau Hide I think, some saved seed from a few years back, also lovely. Not too keen on Runners, grew them because I had some seed & can't resist planting things:biggrin:
