    I tried the Asian yard long a few years back inside the polytunnel, I was hoping they would climb up the corn stems, but they did not. They barely got above two feet tall and I had no crop from them at all.

      Hmmm ... just bought seed, grew on in pots, planted out ... perhaps I should have researched first?!!

          The trouble is the weather, just because we have had a couple of dry hot summers, we can`t bank on it, so we have to take the middle ground.

          Indeed, however I am now wondering (from what I have read :sad: ) whether there is ANY UK summer that will give a reasonable crop of Yard Longs ... seems to me its a Greenhouse-or-nothing crop ... but time will tell :)
