    Beetroot. yum yum...:lollol:
Ziggy..behave !! unless you like your women vinegary too.:hehe:

I like beetroot raw, cooked, roasetd. Have seen a recipe for beetroot chocolate cake and intend to try it. Have not yet grown any beetroot but I might be inspired togive it a go.
Does anyone know if beetroot leaves can be eaten cooked the same as spincah leaves?

The wine sounds good, Marley, but it would be expensive to make if you had to buy it. Also, you need to have a huge pot to make that amount up in - are you going to use your bathtub? :hehe:

I made the roasted beetroots today and they were delicious. I altered your recipe a little, used rape seed oil and added some rosemary and tarragon to the thyme. So that is something that we will have quite often. Thanks for the recipe. k-l

Oh, we had them with fried fish in egg batter and I did some self-made oven chips with herbs at the same time as the beetroots. It all went together nicely.

I'm like Dai on this one.Was made to eat beetroot when I was forced to have school dinners and in those days we wern't allowed to leave the table until everything was eaten.I even tried swallowing it cut up into small pieces without chewing it but it just made me heave and to this day I have never been able to eat the stuff, although I enjoy growing it for Mr Kandy as he loves it.

I can't stand Bread and Butter pudding or Semolina either,yuk...

[IMG].... Semolina...:yho: That goes for treacle tart too but cannot remember the last time I had them either.... :rotfl:

 Semolina is from Durum Wheat... Tapioca is either from the Manioc root or the Sago Palm, depending what part of the world you are in..
