I kept them in the polytunnel until mid-May, stupidly thinking that would be enough - ah well, lesson learned.

I have, however, found three at the back of a shelf in the polytunnel that have apparently been a bit waterlogged, and they haven't grown at all since I got them - comparing them now with the ones in my baskets shows just how much the ones in the baskets have grown, so maybe I am just expecting too much!

roders - yours are looking smashing! :dbgrtmb: Wish mine were as big and healthy!

The good news is that mine are all growing well now including a few that had moldy leaves that i chopped off leaving just a tiny 1" stem. In fact one of those is flowering now and it's not much bigger and only has two leaves. I'm hoping for a late showing now but am wondering if it would be good to cut the flowers off to give the plant a chance to get bigger?

I think taking the flowers off can only divert energy to the plant, so that would be my choice. Try not to cause any "tissue damage" which might make a small, struggling, plant susceptible to disease
