I'm a cat person too but those dogs are lovely.

Oh Lab, I was so sorry to hear about Caley. I really feel for you.

Did it take you the 2 years to decide to get another dog/s? I know many people say after losing one that they will never have another but then do. It's a love thing! Are labs the only type of dog you have ever had or ever wanted, if so any reason? Just being nosey, like to know why people chose things, anything - colours, pets, work (if they have a choice).

    cheers

    Hi Borrowers

We've always had two dogs, but nature does not go along with plans. We had an old lab called Gale who had been diabetic and blind for about four years, during which time Mrs.Lab was not keen to replace a previous lab but succumbed when we were offered Caley. Then a year later in the April we finally had to have Gale put to sleep (she was 16) then in the June Caley had to be put to sleep. Suddenly we found ourselves without out a dog for the first time in 30 years. Mrs Lab was not going to put up with this, so within three days she located Oyster who was picked up as a stray, followed witin the week by Meg who was a 'divorce' dog. they instantly got on together and love each other to bits. We've had them for two years now so they have fully trained us!

Lab, It,s so nice when the likes of your good selves give love, and good homes to unwanted pets. It's the hardest thing in the world, to carry on when we have lost our beloved pets. When we had to have our poppy our cat put down I said never again because it hurts so much. But here we are with our Ming. If you know youve got good lovong home to give, how can you not. Well done 02

Really sorry to hear about Caley, that was so young.

Oyster and Meg are indeed beautiful dogs. Glad to hear that they have now trained you :)
