    Beware! Hippos bite! :heehee:

Ros, sorry to hear about what happened. I don't blame you for getting a bit incensed ;) and would have done so myself. A lot of the posters on MSE are wallys

Victoria, a good point, as usual, but on closer examination the marks on the cheek are visible (but not as visible) in the first photo. It may be size of screen or resolution that makes it possible for me to see them

Clueless, excellent arguments :dbgrtmb: and well done for jumping to ros's defence :love30:. I would tend to take issue with you on your comment on here about people with no kids (post 7) as it's an unecessary, and possibly upsetting, conclusion to draw  . (Though I don't think we should start debating it on here )

Re using tin mugs (yes, I know it's a humorous comment :)) - just a warning - they're not good to use for hot drinks (especially for kids). As good conductors of heat the handles can get pretty hot!!

      Thanks for the warning RR.

Just ignore the trolls on MSE.

I just posted on there but couldn't think of anything much to add to your and clueless's posts. There are some morons on there now, since Martin Lewis sold out I rarely visit. When I did post things in the past I had the same sort of uninformed replies so I never really used it much anyway.

Your daughter has the most beautiful hair BTW :blue thumb:

tried it. along with kicking, slapping, bum hair pulling out (I really get evil when I'm over-tired) nothing works! Even threatened him with a vibrator up where the sun doesn't shine :paladin: (which of course I'd never do. Imagine cleaning that off it! :eeew: )

we dont even own any tin mugs shiney :heehee: I wouldnt even know where to get one! Prison, maybe? oh no, sorry, it'll be crystal glasses they're given in there nowadays

Thanks for sticking up for me JKW, its much appreciated. Yes, Heather's hair is gorgeous, she gets it from her dad's side of the family. the curliness, anyway. she gets the blonde from me.

I have just written a 3 page letter to coke UK, calmly and factually stating what happened. I have asked for all the glasses in that batch of coke zone glasses to be recalled. what will happen? I dunno

Sorry. I've just re-read post 7, and it does come across in a way that I never intended, so I apologise to anyone who takes exception. I know that one doesn't need to have any kids to care about them. The point I was trying (and failing) to get across is that the quickest to judge are often the ones with no experience to base their judgement on. There are teachers at my son's nursery school that don't yet have kids of their own, but they are so passionate about what they do that I would never suggest they don't understand. On the other hand I have younger mates who haven't yet settled down and still see kids as slightly noisy, slimey aliens, who I occasionally raise an eyebrow at when I hear sentencing starting with 'I would never...', 'you should never...' etc.:)

I suggest goater, that you either put your energy into getting a job, OR doing your job, instead of wasting your bosses time and money

I know glasses break. it's a fact of life. But you don't expect them to break in your mouth when no pressure or temperature extremes are being exerted on the glass. that's just not on, is it?

I'm agreeing with you, I mean if the glasses are breaking in the same way then its a design or manufacturing fault.
