Beware, do not buy Aldi Organic Compost.

You could accidently drop a bag behind the check out. Stick with it. My sister told me she had bought a bag and I told her about yours, then ended up giving her a bag of good compost from my stash !!!

 

You could always play it safe. Buy a bag but take a friend with you. Have your friend film the bag being carried out to the boot of your car, where you then open it and have a look, while filming. If it is clean, no egg on your face. If it is like the others, then you have video evidence, which couple with your letter from Aldi that it is an isolated case, will put egg on their face, especially if, say, a scan of the letter and a link to the video was to somehow end up on a popular gardening site.

 

Just back from Aldi and they didn't have any of the product in stock. They had all the other stuff, multi purpose, soil conditioner, bark chip but not the 1 I was looking for to test again. I wonder, as told their customer services I was visiting my local store today, if they hid it. That sounds a great idea Clueless, I'll find out if and when the product is back in store and take a video camera and pal to investigate another bag.
