Hoping everyone had a very nice Christmas and New Year,..everything went well with my cooking over the holiday,..easy carve stuffed Turkey,..how could one go wrong,..then easy carve Stuffed goose of which the stuffing was to die for,..both Foxy Molly and i really enjoyed the taste,..however i could only get a 1 Kg bag of Sprouts,..nothing smaller,..it worked out that there was 72 Sprouts in the bag,..i had 12 at each sitting for six days,..no ill effects lol.

This little pony could well be a Shetland Pony,..i always bring a Carrot or Apple for this one and its pal a big Pied ball,..always have to be wary of my fingers.

I needed some supplies today,..i had managed up to now with all i purchased on the 24th of December,..a Tesco Supermarket on Golden Island,..next to the local Park,..very convenient for feeding the Horses some Carrots,..when i whistle they come running.

Someone else doing the bird feeding near the Supermarket.

Every so often i come across wild birds that show no fear from me or even when i have the dog,..they seldom come in contact with humans or dogs for that matter when one meets them away from the town.

Even the dog was surprised these birds didn't fly away,..the dog was 'Molly The Springer'

I am almost sure these birds are Curlews.

Beautiful pics. We have horses all around us here and one is a little Shetland and has been here at least 20 yrs, lovely creatures.

@Upsydaisy ,..you are lucky to have them around,..they are so clever and we tend to not be so aware of this,..i went on my usual doggy walk yesterday though very early and not quite bright enough to see far ahead,..despite that the Horses had me spotted and were waiting for what ever was on offer,..'Pink Lady Apples' was on the menu,..i love to hear them crunch either apples or Carrots.

@Sheal ,..well done,..you hit the nail on the head 'Sandpipers' they are,..i never checked before this until you mentioned 'Sandpipers',..also they are so different from me thinking 'Curlews' as they have very curled beaks.

Still surrounded by water though the sunsets and sunrises are enhanced with reflections.
