    @Sheal ,..@Victoria,..

    Hi Sheal,..Hi Victoria,..just came out of Hospital last night,..now that was a surprise visit.

    I went to my Doctor on Tuesday to change over to other medication than 'Losec' which seemed not to be working as i had severe chest pains three times last week due to the acids building up,..anyway the change was to 'Nexium',..which worked very quickly,..while in the Surgery the Doctor decided to do a few tests,..then called for an Ambulance.

    Tests while in the Ambulance for Heart and Blood Pressure,..then into A&E where i had a huge amount of tests,..lots of questions before i was told i had had a heart attack?,..it seems during the very heavy chest pains from the acid build up a heart attack was had as well,..i do recall a difference in one attack of acid and it had pains down both arms,..so there you have it.

    Following day i hoped to head home as i had left the house with the intentions of being only at the Doctors for 15 mins,..then let Foxy Molly out for a walk,..she only eats in the evening,..her choice,..i was worried that she would be fretting as me not being there for 24 hours has never happened.

    No hope of being let out of Hospital and i was getting ideas of escaping lol,..finally i made up my mind,..go for it,..unplugged myself from the Cardiac Machine and other wiring and legged it out of the Hospital,..alas no Taxi Services due to the Virus,..there was a Bus due in 30 mins so i waited,..UNTIL a Police Patrol Car pulled up and asked me was i Philip,..walked me back to the Hospital,..i had forgotten to remove a connection on my arm to allow a blood transfusion or other and had i removed it myself it could have had very bad results,..escape failed.

    So i discharged myself after hearing they wanted to transfer me to another Hospital in the next County,..to have a tube inserted in my wrist which would go to my heart to enable some apparatus to regulate the heart beat,..all i was worried about was Foxy Molly,..so i declined the next Hospital visit and the treatment,..it was not a sensible decision they told me as i could have another attack as there was a 90% chance of that,..nope dog comes first so i am at home walking on eggs as the saying goes,..when i sort out some things i will permit the recommended hospital procedures,..Dog Minder and new will and so forth.

    @Victoria ,

    Never heard of the Slippery Elm though i must look it up,..i hate tablets and more so now that i was given a list of,

    Bisoprolol Mylan,..1 per day.
    Atorvastatin,........1 per day.
    Ramipril Teva Pharma,..1 Per Day.
    Brilique,......................1 Twice Daily.
    Nuprin,........................1 Per Day.
    Nexium,.......................1 Per Day.

    I really do hate this intake though i best abide or else.

    Philip

      Oh Philip, now I know where you were hiding! :hate-shocked:

      What a shock that must have been for you ... and I can imagine somewhat distressed over Foxy Molly ... I am not sure of the situation with the cat. Sorry, but I had to laugh at you escaping and getting picked up and returned by the Police! :nonofinger: :heehee:

      You seem like such a fit person with your beautiful regular walks which we enjoy with you ... but you never know when these things will strike.

      I had issues due to being on strong antibiotics for five months amongst other drugs and my stomach was very unhappy. I was told to take Omeprazole However I did some research and learnt about Slippery Elm. I have the powder which you can make into a milky drink (there is a malted one) or porridge, and capsules which I sometimes open one and sprinkle into a Greek yogurt, which again is good to keep the innards working. I also take probiotic capsules.

      We are here rooting for you. Keep us posted and keep in touch or we will be fretting!

      Hugs from Me.jpeg Victoria xx

        I'd say you were wrong, Phil, but I know I would do the same:wallbanging::heehee:

        Just stay safe and don't try to do anything strenuous apart from putting the Kettle on and getting something to eat or, ...................you'll get a verbal "going over" by @Victoria, @CanadianLori, which would cause you more pain than a Heart Attack:hate-shocked::runforhills::runforhills::runforhills:
        You're a much valued member of the GC Gang so take it easy for Foxy Molly as well as us.

            Hi Victoria,

            Hiding is right,..i managed to phone my neighbour but of course she couldn't to anything for Foxy Molly as she doesn't have a key to get in,..i have made arrangements today that she will look after Foxy Molly when i go back to Hospital,..be it by appointment or in an emergency that eases my mind,..as you can note i love my dog and always put her first before doing any time away from home,..i do tell her back in 15 mins,..she must know that as much as 'Sit'.

            Slippery Elm has very good reports i must say,..keep well Victoria i will keep in touch,..em not by phone as my phone providers have staff issues due to the Virus,..so i am down to Police/FireBrigade/Ambulance only calls.

            My first time to be picked up by the Police,..everyone in the Hospital had a laugh at seeing me return,..failed almost printed on my brow lol,..still they were right as were the Hospital to put out a capture and return.

            You did well to decline the Omeprazole,..bad reports on that,..i have the feeling Doctors are taking on this and other medications for sweeteners from the Drug Companies Agents.

            Feeling ok,..that's neither good or bad just ok,..no appetite and light headed but taking it easy.

              @glengarry23 I sure hope you take it easy. Slowly build up to anything you are even thinking of doing please! Those pills seem to indicate it is a high blood pressure situation you have to deal with and yes, those pills will get you back on track and keep you back on track. I was lucky when I had my heart attack. It was purely electrical, no plumbing issues. I do get a naughty giggle at check ups when I'm sent for an EKG .. I wait for a few seconds before telling them, no I am not having an attack, it is just a wonky electrical system.

              I am sending you some of my good health. Catch and keep it as long as you need it!;)

                Thanks ARMANDII,..lol to think you would do the same,..amazing what one will sacrifice for a pet.

                Yep,..i expected the ladies to give me hell for my escape,..for disconnecting myself from being wired up to the monitors,..i feel they are being kind and just saying Naughty,..they are a nice lot :wub2::wub2::wub2:,..just like yourself and most other members,..thanks for caring.

                  @Upsydaisy

                  All anyone could do would be look through the letterbox or appear at the back door,..that's the only time she gives a bark,..i will keep everything down to a slow walk the garden is big enough for her to run around,..the path is winding so she won't be bored,..no jobs for me for a spell,..my next door neighbour started giving me hot dinners daily for the past 14 days though i asked her not to resume for a spell as i lost my appetite,..anyway i promise i will behave :whistle::)

                      @CanadianLori ,

                      Laurie thank's for sending some of your good health,..i did stop myself from doing much in the garden except for providing some canes as supports,.. nothing more though the temptation is strong,..i will close my ears and eyes to temptation.

                      Ah so you had experience of the JOLT,..not a pleasant experience on its own,..mine was hidden with the Acid chest pains attack which are pretty bad enough to have me walking around the house with arms crossed and holding tightly for fear of exploding,..no more of that with 'Nexium',..tut tut naughty of you for winding up the medical people when they were looking at your EKG results,..keep well Lori.

                      Philip

                          @Sheal,

                          Hi Sheal,..oh i deserved any telling off in particular on the attempted escape from Hospital,..for the duration spent there my only thought was Foxy Molly,..i am attached to that dog and she to me so i couldn't think about all the probes i was enduring which isn't me,..i hate injections and Hospitals,..confinement as well,..i am sure this was only my 3rd hospital visit ever in 75 years,..the reaction to the Smallpox Injection back in 1962,..the damage caused by 'Difene' to the tummy walls,..then this present spell.

                          Finding myself more relaxed today seeing the Hospital effect is wearing off but still no appetite for food,..except fruit,..not a bad thing for the present.

                          I will be looking in and will update as time passes,..thank you for the attention given and no telling off :)

                            I'm glad you're feeling a little better. :) I don't like hospitals or surgeries either but sometimes they are necessary and unfortunately we can't always avoid them.
