Victoria i only met one person while on that walk,..part of the walk goes through a woods and comes out beside a friends house,..i wanted to see what he had planted in an old boat he uses as a flower display.

Fantastic Philip. When I painted (with acrylics) I particularly liked trees as my focus. I may get back into painting and I may come back to these pictures ... with your permission of course.

 

Thanks Telmadee,..having worked in London for 14 years i yearned every day for the countryside walks i was so used to,..when i arrived back in 1994 i swore never to leave again,..unless on a holiday to a dry climate.

 

Victoria permission granted ,..i have always intended taking up my paint brushes but never got around to it again,..i loved to paint be it pastels watercolours or mixed medium,..trouble is that i get stuck into the painting like one does with a computer game,..painting trees was never my good point as you can see in the UNFINISHED job below,..i am a pointillistic/pointillist painter.

Unfinished since 2015.

 

Painting is something I've considered in the past but I've never attempted it. The only painting I've done was on a much larger scale, being part of the scenery team for the Royal Tournament that used to be held at Earls Court, London.

 

Thanks for the permission, I have copied a few. I think you should finish it, good theme. I don't 'do' people ... besides not photographing them! Don't know if you've seen my website ... www.victoriart.eu

 

That was interesting i must say,..part of the scenery team and being in Earls Court as well,..you should give painting on the smaller scale a try though once bitten its hard to get away from it,..one gets lost in the painting.

 

Ah yes i did visit your Website,..some beauties there and i see how good you are at painting the trees,..a talented Lady i must say

 

Just Swanning along but there was a watcher in the bushes.





The Cat wasn't hoping for a Swan Dinner or a Duck,..but the very small Black Chick belonging to the Water Hen,..it is hard to spot them.

 

Year after year most of the work was done at a unit close to where I lived - apart from the main backcloths. We painted those in an airship hangar on army ground as they were the size of a football pitch.

I might try painting in the future but I don't know if I have the patience to sit still that long. I never sit and relax in my garden, I prefer getting on with things.

 

A lovely stroll on the waters edge Philip. It looked like a nice day too.

 

Thankfully i had completed my walk along the river early in the day as it poured out of the heavens later.
