        You are so right about the different 'feel',..one of the islands has four celtic churches from around the same era as the video above,..i often went on the island for my break when fishing,..nobody else there made it out of this world,

            Thanks Michael and ARMANDII,..sorry about tha very late response but i was away in Co Galway,..Power Spraying/Scraping/Sanding and painting a boat,..finished each day at 4.30 then arrived home to gardening until it got dark,..shattered at the end of each day.

                At last the water level in the river and around it has dropped by over 2 metres in the past two days.

                  Went to see could i walk along the canal to the river,..it appeared possible.

                      Today was a scorcher,..almost too warm to do any gardening 20c - 68f,..not complaining though.

                          Oh sorry to hear of a promise of snow,..as its still March i agree with part of the poem,

                            We've had the March winds and April showers all in one for the last couple of weeks but that is typical here. Usually Spring starts properly in the second week of April and it should be dry and warm through to the end of May.

                                Thanks Philip. :) It needs to turn up soon. Without a greenhouse here I'm trying to time starting off a lot of seeds indoors so that I can grow them on in their pots outside, before planting them out.
