A tad misty but no breeze,..a bonus to see land at last on the far side of the river.

@Victoria ,..Ah poor thing looks lost and bewildered :cry3:.

I have not let it bother me too much,.. as i look forward to the meadows getting dry and being able to walk on the far side of the river and let Foxy Molly have a good run,..alas the locals get depressed and throw themselves into the river,..most never come out,..always searches for bodies here.

Nothing i should laugh about Victoria but it happens so often that it boggles the mind,..imagine a chap jumps off the Town Bridge,..not going for a swim i can verify,..doesn't look where he is going to land,..should be water,..oh no jumps and lands on the bridge cement supports,..at least it was no problem searching for him,..though sadly we had a body found last week miles down from where he jumped in,..the searchers were out for several weeks,..a watery grave is popular here,..not being from here when i fall in i jump out,..damned cold water :gaah::)

Looks like the tide went out though we are far from the sea.

Thanks Victoria,..i just love those low clouds,.. in particular when they are the white puffs and not so much like the dark and promise of rain ones,..though they are all captivating.

Thanks Michael,..we get such a wide sky view here and as you say being in a nice flat area,..you can see rain coming from afar and most times manage a long walk before the rainfall.

Eureka we are promised a heatwave,..however before that there will be rain and hailstones,.. sigh.

Nippy enough today,..not that it bothered me as i was steaming or fuming and mumbeling to myself,..phoned the doctors surgery for my three month repeat prescription and requested a change in one medication,..Nexium,..its a gastro-resistant tablet,..which has worked to perfection since March of last year,..not working at all for the past three weeks,..i needed something that worked,..simple request,..sadly my own doctor was away and some chap with a Dell Computer accent was filling in,..no no no the medication you are on is the best,..eat earlier for better results and i will prescribe it along with Gaviscon,..dang rabbit and fluffel woof i replied,..or similar words,..if reflux builds up and puts pressure on my chest there could be a heart attack,..no no no he replied,..but that was what happened last time?,..i couldn't budge him,..went to my pharmacy told them the story and they gave me three days supply of another medication which worked within the hour,..not a bother since,..phoned the surgery again and said i sought medical help elsewhere and got it,..now i was making out a report to the Medical Board,..which i was,..this morning the surgery changed the prescription to the new medication,..i didn't say what i would do with the report,..oh i love getting them to get up and worry :paladin:

I hope Foxy Molly didn't get a chill from the cold water  She's lovely isn't she ...

Beautiful views again :) Enjoy the heat wave when it comes !

Do you suffer from reflux, I do a lot and worse since I've put on some extra weight this last year. I was thinking of going to the doctor to see if I can get something for it, it is unbearable some days.
I'm glad the new medication worked for you and hope you can get it regularly now. Someone told me to ask for Omropazol (spelling ?) so maybe I'll get that. I've tried Gaviscon but it doesn't work for me. I take a lot of Rennies

We have and get Omeprazole over the counter here and I occasionally take it as I get problems from the long-term use of nasty medications I had to take a couple of years ago.

But, Calcium is better ... and good ... for you. I have to take it daily with D3 for my Osteoporosis, but when I get Reflux I just take another one followed by a little water. Things like Tums are 100% Calcium. Gaviscom is mostly Magnesium. I buy genetical versions on line as it is so much cheaper so check out the ingredients of prescribed then look for generics.

Hi Michael,..lol she dunks her bum in the water several times before being satisfied,..nope no chill,..ah yes she is lovely and my walking companion come shadow.

I was prescribe Difene to eliminate back pain,..this medication damaged the walls of my tummy,..then to prevent reflux they prescribed Losec,..it worked for 11 months then it started to fail,..there was no explanation for its failure,..the reflux was so bad it caused pressure on my chest and caused a heart attack,..i was prescribed Nexium it worked for approx 11 months and in the past two weeks has failed to act,..now as i put pressure on the surgery they have prescribed Pantoprazole,..it worked right away and no reflux since last Friday,..to me it looks as all of the Anti Reflux Medication is good for about a year,..Gaviscon does nothing to help for more than an hour or even less,..you can purchase Nexium or Pantoprazole without a prescription but its expensive enough,..Pantoprazole costs £16 for 28 tablets over here so i would suggest get one of the Anti Reflux medications on prescription as you dont need to suffer the pain of Reflux.

Nearly all of the medications above are of the same family either Esomeprazole Omeprazole or Pantoprazole.

About you putting on weight,..lots of walks and eat less :),..i was 11st 7lbs in the 1960's and am still the same weight yet i eat like a horse :stirpot:,..mind you i am not complaining as i save on purchasing clothes due to the same measurements all the time :)
