I hope it wasn't your onky watercraft. So beautiful and perhaps hugging the shoreline with a canoe or row boat would keep you near your feathered friends?

 

@CanadianLori ,..sadly that was my only boat left,..i have always had a boat of some sort,..mainly dogs as passengers,..its not as bad as missing a car but a very close second,..i pulled a muscle in my back of late and were i navigating on my own i would have had trouble getting home,..so i decided to quit,..we have at least half a dozen boat drownings here each year all down to simple mistakes.

I will be able to prowl the shores for wildlife so i won't be pining lol.

 

@glengarry23 yes, it is smart to play safely. Nice fish

 

@CanadianLori ,..yes indeed,..we had three drownings from one boat and its not always visitors either,..everyone with a boat then searches for bodies,..not a pleasant task and worse when one finds one.

A slightly bigger fish

 

Mist started to rise from the water as i walked the dog,..it was very poor visibility by the time i reached my turn back location,..strange shapes appearing and vanishing,..then the Swans came out of the mist.

By the time i arrived back in town the mist had cleared.

 

It sounds like where I live.

@Victoria ,..a very apt description Victoria,..when on the lake and the mist rises off the water the only way home is by looking at the compass,..its really spooky on occasions like that,..shapes floating towards the boat silently,..is it another boat or ?,..is my time up?.

Another video of a very rocky location,..The Giants Causeway,..not a great video as there is the odd jump,..hope its worth looking at.

Yes thank you, I do love it here. I wish we'd made the move earlier. The deer I came across by chance on my way home via a road that isn't so well used. The picture was taken at dusk and this chap was leading a herd, if that's the right word, of about a dozen.
