It is always lovely to see your pictures and I am glad you're back. @Upsydaisy is right. Pace yourself. 1 one step at a time.

It was sneaky to hide the damp. I assume that is what we call wood rot which makes their camouflaging that much more underhanded. Using cosmetics to hide structural problems is dangerous and I'm glad you caught on!

I really like the primula - I think I'll have another go at starting some of the lacy ones.

Thanks Upsydaisy,..yes i had a friend check to see was the oil tank in order and the electrics,..he noticed the outside stonework needed pointing,..then checked the inside in line with that spot,..someone painted over a soft damp area,..he didn't bother looking any further,..so i opted out of the move.

Hi Sheal,..i love the changing sky here,..it can change so sudden,..nearly all the trouble starts in the kitchen,..reaching across or up while cooking,..yet driving is no problem.

It never entered my head to move until the one particular house was on offer,..way out in the countryside,..i wont be thinking of another move

Hi Victoria,..the move was back to where i used to live,..12 mile further outside town,..on a 60 acre estate,..Foxy Molly would have had a great time there as did my previous dogs,..i had pictured the condition of the house to be as it were back 19 years ago,..i didn't think it was so long ago plus how things change,..it appeared to be the same from outside alas not when checked from inside,..too many problems to solve so i backed out,..its front garden is the same size as my back garden so i pictured all my plants there,..oh well nothing lost by backing out

Hi Lori,..thank you,..i will pace myself slower,..yes sneaky to hide the damp plus i would have noticed it shortly after the move in so it was a bad move by the owner.

Ah yes have another go at the primula,..i will keep my fingers crossed for good results this time.

 

Morning Philip. Good job you didn't move back and perhaps best you stay closer to town anyway in your magical garden.
