I've made two visits to Ireland and never managed to visit the Giants Causeway, sadly.

@Victoria ,..i forgot to add the description of the Giants Causeway,..i had it under the video in YouTube,..i was thinking of going to Galway Bay the following morning and so my brain wasn't working properly lol.

      'Giants Causeway'
The Giant's Causeway is an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns,.. the result of an ancient volcanic eruption some 60 million years ago,.. It is located in County Antrim on the northeast coast of Northern Ireland.

@Sheal ,..well done,..two visits here,..i hope it wasn't raining as we get a lot of it here,..though heading off to Antrim to see The Giants Causeway is a long enough trip from say Dublin,..it is worth the trip as its not too far from there one of the Spanish Armada Ships wreckage was found,..lots of gold and precious metals and gems found on the Ship 'The Girona',..not sure if i got the spelling right there.

Yesterdays trip to Galway Bay didn't require bringing a camera as i made a video way back,..its from here Christopher Columbus set sail and discovered America,..having attended Mass in the local Church.

Seems i am never far from water lol.

@Upsydaisy ,..thank you and delighted you enjoy the pictures,..i use a small pocket sized camera which gets the credit.

Some early morning images captured before i headed off to Galway,..about 0830 in the morning and just getting bright.

I would have loved to have visited Ireland. My maternal Grandfather, an Egan, was from County Sligo.

My first holiday was in Southern Ireland. The second was Northern Ireland, staying in the north east. It's a long time ago now so I can't remember exactly where. I can assure you the weather was beautiful at the time. I remember it well because I spent half the holiday in The Causeway Hospital with an infection, typical of my luck! :)

I preferred Northern Ireland, the scenery is more to my liking and the terrain not so flat.

                  Lovely pictures again. :blue thumb:

@Upsydaisy ,..you hit the nail on the head,..atmospheric it was,..i am always in awe of scenes like those,..nobody around just the sound of water and birds starting their morning song,..ones mind just goes blank and you drink in the atmosphere.

@Victoria ,..in the video below the scenes are starting off in Donegal,..one can look across the sea to the shores of Sligo,..the images are then of the West Coast.

@Sheal ,..oh that was hard luck indeed,..yes the northern area is certainly not flat,..that entire coast from Antrim through Donegal and down the west coast is a sight to remember,..i intended to live in Donegal and spent about six years in the area,..i still love the area but didn't get married into it.

Beautiful. A lot of the cliff scenes and cove beaches are similar to here.

I agree with Victoria it's beautiful. :) The scenery is very much like the Highlands and parts of the Isle of Man.
