Bin Storage

Hopefully my Campsis x tagliabuana will grow up and screen them.

 

Your Campsisx tagliabuana, will very likely climb up the bins,the shed the house and the whole neighbourhood.

 

I don't think C tagliabuana is as vigorous as C radicans. I didn't know they were cold tolerant but have some seeds.

 

My "Indian Summer" went right up the back of the house and given the chance would have taken over the world, but they do need heat to do well.

 

That is superb. T'other Half really wants one and seeds are daunting. Our favourite garden center said last year they didn't get any in.

 

Having grown from seed and bought a hybrid I'd definitely go for the hybrid rather than seed.

Mine has all gone now, it got its roots into the drains so I had to get it out.

Thanks Pete. We are probably going to the GC later this month to get a nice big pot so will ask them again.

 

I was going to paint mine in a camouflage pattern as I know some one near me has done this. They can't use their bins though, as they haven't been able to find them!

My C tagliabuana is in a planter so won't be going anywhere but I am glad to see it can do so well.

I cobbled this together today.



I used a screw which lasted about 5 mins. Next time I'll try a nut and bolt. This would work well enough for the outer cupboard but It would be a bit more tricky one the inner bins (but not impossible). It's all coming together nicely.

I think you will find that "indian summer" is a hybrid of C. radicans x C. tagliabuana.
