bird id please- like a robin but hovering

    just had a bit of a google on linnets and it does seem to be about right. hopefully will see it again so I can look more closely. thank you

    Any chance you could snatch a photo of your mystery bird and post it?! Easier said than done, I know!

    Kandy said If it wasn't a Kestrel then no way would it be a Robin because a Robin is only 5 1/2inches{14cm} and a Kestrel is 13 1/2inches{34cm} did you read the original post properly Kandy I don't know how you made the quatum leap from a tad bigger than a robin to a bird the size of a kestrel.

    Walnut,If you had also read the post you would have seen that LG had said that it was hovering so a Kestrel instantly sprung to mind :eek:
