    Saw the bluetits going in the box with nesting material today. I am so pleased!

    They are great tits! I sat watching both parents non stop feeding the chicks. It was funny when dad tried to get in the box when mum was in there!

    Hi, thought i'd tap into this thread rather than make a new one.

    I have collard doves nesting on my satellite dish for the 3rd year running. Very cute. I can't take a photo as it is too high up. They just sit and watch me do my gardening and when i put out the bird food, they coo at me and then as soon as i leave the garden they come down for some food. I love having them there.

    They are lovely aren't they Pixie. I feel so protective toward any birds nesting in my garden, it must be my motherly instinct! The box in my photo was made by my dad. It has since fallen apart but has been replaced with a new one and the tits are popping in it! They must like that position.

    Yes, i feel the same, i sometimes get house martins nesting on the front of the house, and although some people don't like it for the mess, i put my geranium underneath the nest and it thrived with all that feed!:dbgrtmb: Just had to clean it up now and then. LoL.
