BIRDS! G.C. Bird Survey photos.

    Just to let interested folk know of the number of US rarities that have wrong turned and landed here (UK & IRELAND) in the last two weeks, no pics.
    Alder Flycatcher
    Red Eyed Vireo
    Philadephia Vireo
    Blackpol Warbler
    Bobolink
    Scarlet Tanager
    Swainsons Thrush
    White Crowned Sparrow
    Little Green Heron.
    Most were on migration and got lost although there were no particularly strong winds to blow them off course. It is unlikely any will return to the US.

    I caught this song thrush trilling away at full throttle at the Alnwick Garden this summer.

    Blackheaded gull in winter plumage and a first year female Blackbird but you didn't need to be told that did you!:gnthb:
