OK - I'll run shiney's latest list here before I put it up at the beginning of the topic - I'm no expert and some of these are new to me.

    6. ??? Duck - species ? ???Ruddy Shelduck???

    17. ??Black swan - not sure white species without seeing head
    18. Canada Geese
    19. Canada Goose

Would appreciate everyones thoughts and input here - especially if you recognise some of these species I have failed miserably on!!!!!

If everyone agrees they go on the list!

    Interesting and varied pics shiney!

Ohs there's more - sneakily posted while I was scratching my head on the first list!

    20. Looks like a grey heron
    21. robin
    22. Barking up the wrong tree if you reckon that's an ostrich!
    23. Mute swan
    24. Some sort of chicken - breed???? I only know 'Oven roasted' species!
    25. Mallard - female.

Thanks for the challenge of trying to work out some of these species Shiney!

    Excellent photos Glenw!

Kathy - from here they look like Shags! If they have white throats they are cormorants. Can't see any white so I am going for a shag!

How about making it a new thread for birds seen out of the UK?

I am happy to do one - or would you like to take on the mantle for our non brit feathery friends?
