Here is the best one, couldn't find it the other day.
They are difficult to see and don't move much, such perfect camouflage.

Sheffiled has had a lucky winter again, its had a huge influx of its specialality winter visitor, the waxwing. There have been flocks of upto 300 seen in various parts of the city, I was lucky enough to find approx 50 feeding just round the corner from me.

You lucky people I have never seen a Bittern and I have never seen a Redpoll do a lot of bird watching the rarest one I have seen this year is a Goldcrest in our back garden, I see the Magpies are making a nest on the golf course and heard a Woodpecker today

Woo, Strongy and Glen, your photos are always so sharp :ntwrth::ntwrth:

I know that mine come out blurred partly because I take them through the window but even without that I don't think I would get such clear shots :o

Nathan, the other year I had a goldcrest that spent all day on my office windowsill looking in.

Here is a blurred phto of one of our woodpeckers.

Last week Sainsburys had shoulder of lamb on special offer at just over £1.20 per lb so I bought a larger piece than I needed and gave the rest to the birds. They loved it :yho:

Mr & Mrs Pheasant by our kitchen window

I took him through the glass

But was able to capture her through the bit of the window that was open - she spotted me and was starting to walk away :)

sorry walnut, I don't think its a snipe, its got more of a black tailed godwit look about it, possibly a 1st winter juvenile. Waders aren't my strong point, so I stand to be corrected

    Still, a cracking shot Woo.
I saw over a hundred last week at Blashford but only in the distance :( as you can see or perhaps you can't.:D

What a beauty Benacre,it's in wonderful condition does it have a mate?is it captive bred ?I believe they are n.american but some ornithologists doubt they are migrants and are escaped from imported stock.

Fantastic photos fellas - the stars for me are the excellent Bittern and the carnivorous robin, but all the pics are fab to look at - I'll get updating the list pronto.
