    I've just taken this photo of a woodpecker on our feeder. I always have difficulty with them because they rarely keep still for a photo. :D

    Peri, yes it is a young one. The parents come along regularly as well. The young one is less nervous than the parents. :)

    Not sure Kathy.
    I was always under the impression that swans were protected by the crown ie the Queen. Wrong I was informed at the Swannery that it is only swans on the Thames that are under her protection, ringed at the 'Swan Upping '

    I don't know whether we already have on here a mother blackbird feeding a baby. So apologies if it is already here

    The focus isn't too good but the baby grabs the food too quickly for me to focus.


    By the way, it is being fed porridge :hehe:

    sorry about the poor quality, the stone curlew's are at full zoom inc digital, they were that far away and the nightjar needed the ISO bumping up to 'Hi' it was that dark!!!
