Woo, a Reed Bunting would have a brown streaked back, a black bib and slightly streaked front. although It isn't easy to tell some birds from another particularly from odd angles.

    Gadwall

Male and female Gadwall, very attractive duck with amazing feather patterning close up otherwise overlooked as drab looking from afar.

      Thankyou for your comments.
At least they were closer than the Kingfisher we were watching, it stayed motionless next to it's nest but was tooooo far away for a pic.

Spring migrants were thin on the ground early this morning at Portland Bill, lots of wary Wheatears and a rare Short Toed Lark hiding in a field so the only pics I got were (distant ) ones of locals.

Kites have only recently been seen in Dorset, I was hoping they would spread south from their Central range. Seeing them that close is a fantastic sight.:dbgrtmb:

A nice pair Woo, Robins and Goldfinches always make great photos.:dbgrtmb:

Oh! Lots of good birdie shots :D
Here's a couple, taken over the last few years (not so much this year, kind of busy with babies lol)

This Robin was "shot" at the RSPB centre in Lochwinnoch...

"Shot" this little Coal Tit feeding in the back garden - used the hedge to hide me and the camera, and used a little patience...

A Swallow - lots of these chaps around these parts :D
