About 5 or 6 inches of snow last night.
Cleared a space on the grass and put water and more apples out.
Still getting plenty of customers. :)

My garden is very urban but we have lots of goldfinches, bluetits, sparrows and dunnocks. Plus a few starlings, robins and blackbirds. And I mustn't forget the woodpigeons and collared doves. I put an enormous dish of seed out for them this morning and they immediately stood in it and upset the whole thing so that the seed went everywhere. They then sat around with that 'Duh? What do we do now?' expression of theirs.

Thanks Jiffy. Nigel up the track about half a mile away reckons he has tree sparrows visit so now know what they look like too. Now can identify blue tits as have white above the eye & am working on distingusihing coal & great tits. Saw a male blackbird & a robin today but as far as I can make out the rest are dozens of tits

Went to Aldi on the way home - lots of different stuff for the birds and very reasonably priced.

They also had Camellias for £5.99 each which were quite dry, so I took pity on a couple of them and brought them home. They don't look unhealthy so hopefully they'll be okay.
