Bizarre gardening injuries!!

    Manly scar??? i have got a manly scar to beat all manly scars! Right up the middle of my chest. Not from an accident mind you, just a damn good heart surgeon.
    A guy at work, Design and technology teacher, told me about the time one weekend he was using an angle grinder on something that was raised up in front of him. The tool was quite heavy and it slipped. Still hanging on to it, it swept down and went in an arc upwards between his legs, just nicking the denim material of his shorts,just below his crotch......now theres an eyewatering thought for you! He had a few nightmares after that.

    i was weeding a border once and a yucca spike went into my eye, luckily in the outer corner, but that meant a trip to the doctors.Very painful!
    I also stepped into a wasps nest while gardening for a customer. I ran for it and by the time I reached the house I was stripped off down to my bra as they were stinging me through my t-shirt. My customer was rather surprised to find me in dis-robed in the kitchen.It made a wonderful topic of conversation at the pub amongst his friends! [​IMG]

    Yucca spike sounds incredibly painful, you poor thing, and as for the wasps - well, rather you than me! :rolleyes:

    We had the same once,but now we cut each end to avoid this
