Also watering onto leaves can scorch the leaves as the water will act like a lens and burn them. Also water on leaves in a warm moist environment will encourage Black Spot, Rust, and Mildew:snork::coffee:

I'm sure i've posted something similar on another Rose post....but i never spray my roses against BS....every 4/5 weeks i've mulched them with well rotted FYM....Last year it appeared to work except for the one rose i didn't do.....it was just a experiment....i was maybe lucky....but it was rather interesting don't you think?.....i'm doing the same again ..out of curiosity.....i'll let you know if i fall prey to the dreaded BS:dbgrtmb:

Well, to be honest this year I haven't sprayed my roses with Roseclear as there haven't been any signs of Blackspot, Rust or Mildew:dunno::snork: I'm not complaining but it does make you wonder if the right conditions for those diseases have not appeared to encourage them Has anyone got roses that have suffered the diseases this year???:dunno::scratch:

Well, a healthy rose is obviously going to be able to shrug off diseases better than a weak one, so the more Horse Muck the better!!:snork:

Mine are clear as yet, but they are new plants in a new bed so I wouldn't expect to see anything for a while. :)

Good afternoon @"M" my friend yes it is,I respectfully suggest that you remove the infected leaves as they appear ,please also remove any fallen infected leaves that have fallen on the soil as that is where the spores will lay and spread,I have some infected leaves caused by the rain and then warm weather, all you can do is just continue to remove the leaves as they appear,it won't look very nice but your Rose blooms will be OK ;)

Ps.Burn or dispose of the infected leaves, but not on the compost heap:smile:
