Hi no it's an Ensete maurellii, I have 2 both in pots, kept one in spare room over winter and the other in greenhouse. They are both outside again now and have a few leaves. Cut the leaves off for the winter otherwise too big to fit in anywhere.

My musa basjoos are even bigger than that! I have 4 planted in the ground and all have a couple of leaves, had to take the fleece off them a couple of weeks ago, also got a musa sikimensis.

Got my sikimensis which you can see a bit of the leaf in last pic from Mulu.co.uk only cost £12 about 2 yrs ago, this is the 3rd summer commimg, it's now 4 and half feet without the leaf. My Ensetes I got last yr for £12 from local garden centre ( not the one I work for).

Pot it up now and get it out! what was your musa doing inside anyway? you usualy just plant them in garden and wrap with fleece to keep warm, so it sprouts from top every year. Otherwise if you don't wrap it, it will die down but shoot again from the bottom, the roots are hardy. Can't wait for mine to flower, that'll give the neighbours something to talk about! [IMG]
