Just like to say that yucca flaccida is one of the hardiest and it grows really well outside once established.
I've got a sneaking suspicion thats not flaccida BM, but I could be wrong. As far as I know flaccida looks very similar to filamentosa, with floppy leaves.
Strongy, as to the roebelenii, I consider it quite tender and acclimatise it to out door conditions very carefully each spring, it does scorch in full sun if its been in the shade all winter.

BM and Dendy, I've just had a look through again and I think I lost the plot on what was what there :D
But apart from that very small agave, I can see a green yucca and a yellow edged one, presume thats the one thats flaccida.

I must admit I got confused as to what was what there BM, but I thought it was my mistake.
I see the aloe, its looking good and will grow fast, it can become leggy and top heavy, so any side shoots you can encourage will be good.
Are those agaves out there for good or are you going to lift them in the autumn?
    Nice job jimbo. [IMG]

Hi everyone, not sure I will move in the near future Waco, but alot would be dug up and shipped with me. Bananas are easy to replace, all The treeferns are movable as are the arids. The palms I would leave but if the new people didn't want them I would have a go at moving them with a digger.

Looking good jimbo, is that a washy from B&Q? and I notice you have a gnome ;)

Pete should I top the aloe to encourage side shoots ? The agaves are out for the duration although I have my doubts that the smallest will survive. I have some flue liners left over from my old banana protection days so will use them or something similar for when it freezes.
