      Cheers Ruth,

Its my fault, I should have put some sort of scale in the pic. I'm still amazed at the size of the launce, the ones I buy for bait are a quarter of the size of that. Throws the scale out for me too:DOH:

I have a tape measure and a laminated minimum size list in my tackle bag, in case there is any doubt.

I'd like to use this opportunity to draw folks attention to my thread on returning Mackerell safely without killing them.

Mackerel fishing - Fishing Forums from Angler's Net

To date, over 60,000 people have read this thread so the word should be spreading.:dbgrtmb:

The link to the original thread is near the bottom of the first post.

P.S. Anglers net threads are slower to load than Gardeners Corner, need a bit of patience.

nowt wrong with a fish loving hippy :WINK1: makes for very interesting reading and i fully agree once you`ve caught what you will use why continue fishing just to throw them back :what: enough fish wasted with commercial fishing ,our spanish fleets only line catch fish so no wastage or damage unlike the scottish trawlers, again its the same with the creel boats no damage or stress to there catchs and the taste is second to none ,no mouthfuls of grit ripped up from the sea bed destroying all the life that depends on deep waters
