He was Dooley Wilson :dbgrtmb: A good actor and performer. He was also in Stormy Weather as the friend of Bill 'Bojangles' Robinson also starring Lena Horne and Cab Calloway. The film was about Mr Bojangles.

I can't grow Heuchera and the related Tiarella.

Tried many times, the just linger for a season or two and then that's the end of them.

Added more organic mulch to my soil, makes no difference

I've made Eremurus a special project this year, as I took have had nothing but failure, Verdun. I bought around 15 bare roots from about 3 different suppliers and did some research and took bits out of the differing methods on how to plant them. In the end I dug a hole, for each bare roots, wider than the roots and about 8 inches deep. I then filled the hole almost up to the top with potting grit, placed the root on top and put about an inch of soil on top covering it completely. Out of the 15 I have 11 that have come up and I reckon the ones that failed were not of good quality.........so I'm pleased.:snorky:

Those Eremurus look pretty - a sure sign that I would almost certainly not be able to grow them

I first saw them in a Dell at Hidcote gardens and fell in love with them. But after trying over the years and failing to grow them I gave up........until this years. I bought 15 as I reckoned I would have some failures and wanted to improve my chances of at least growing one!!:dunno::heehee:
