Border and privacy removed by neighbours

    Communication is usually the best answer with neighbours - a happy relationship is really worth having.
    I think Laurel is really boring, and would plant a variety of shrubs and climbers to include some evergreen, some with berries and flowers yellow or purple foliage, some honeysuckle and clematis, and just a few prickles....have fun :)

      Agree with Sienna's ideas...friendly approach and maybe the neighbours will feel involved. Also agree with Tetters:)
      Instead of a hedge of same plants, I would go for variety and not just plain old woody shrubs. Add some perennials to give extra colour....verbena bonariensis is a fast growing, self supporting beauty of blue flowers 6' to 9' high. A tall grass too.....will provide privacy all summer long plus delightful movement and sound :)
