Bit of an update. While I've been off work, I went to several local libraries. Nothing interesting advertised. I scoured the internet, nada. Then a few days ago I did something very old fashioned. I actually went, in person, to the leisure centre:ouch1:

I actually 'spoke' to the people there at the desk, and asked what stuff they have there. We came away with some ideas, and yesterday we popped back there in time to catch the karate instructor as he finished his weekly class. I had a good chat, and I'm going there on Wednesday at 6:30PM and I'm going to have a go for nowt, then if I like it, I can go every week for just £3 per time. Unfortunately the lad can't join in yet. The chap's public liability insurance apparently requires his students to be at least 6 year old, but in reality, facing facts, a young kid learns many times faster than an adult does, so it will probably do us both good if I get a head start (otherwise I can see me getting battered by a 6 year old when he does start:lunapic 130165696578242 5:).

        Excellent! :yay:
The time will fly by: before you know it, your lad will be 6yo and he'll totally love that he is doing something grown up like his Dad :dbgrtmb:
