In the 90s, when management speak first exploded into the work scene, I always had to stifle a laugh when they'd say (after a bit of blue sky thinking) that we should pick the low hanging fruit.
:loll:Not country lads then, obviously! Always LEAVE the low hanging fruit!!:roflol:

Don't use a carrier bag, it will get torn by thorns, the berries will squash and dogs will get their snout in it and eat them whilst your back's turned. Use a small bucket hanging round your neck on rope so you have both hands free and pick twice as fast.

Take a left hand gardening glove and a walking stick for pulling out of reach fruit down and hanging onto it. One of those folding walking sticks with a hook fixed on the end is useful for getting all sorts of wild fruit within reach.

I also use a small sheet of hardboard to place against the bushes so I can lean on it and get further in where the best berries are.

Take a rucksack to leave hands free.

          Picked over 300lbs last year.

Good idea, but at the mow the unfriendly one has gone, so slowly things are getting better, the person can now eat the backberries they picked with out any problems now :heehee:

... left a bit .... right a bit and don't forget to inventory them as you pick Mr Office Bod ... :pathd:
