    I'm trying my first loaf cooked in the Aga. I've baked bread in a conventional electric oven before but haven't done Aga bread yet... It's sat beside the Aga risjng...

            I'll give it a go with a little adjustment to the recipe, I want to try it in my bread maker first but if that doesn't work out I'll use elbow grease. :)

            By the way the tagging hasn't been working, I checked on your post by looking at the main board.:)

              I love sourdough, bought a book, on kindle, to make some and never got round to it. Glancing through the starter it can take 5 days. Madahhlia.

              Yes, at least a week to make sure it's stable. I'm going away next week, I'll have to take it with me to make sure it doesn't starve.

                  Had a go at the Beetroot bread tonight.....Looks like Beetroot bread and smells like Beetroot but doesn't particularly taste of Beetroot even though i did put 3 large roots in.....must say though it's lovely and soft and moist:dbgrtmb:

                    Looks good to me Loli. :dbgrtmb: I haven't tried it out yet as I need to shop for ingredients, particularly Beetroot. :)
